COACH JONES

Kim Jones (MA, CSCS, Z-Health, USAW), owner of Athletic Neuro, is a Performance Coach, Functional Medicine Health Coach, Precision Nutrition Certified Nutritionist (PN1) and IFBB Pro based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.

MISSION STATEMENT

We empower individuals to regain their physical freedom and return to the activities they love through a neuro-centric approach to movement. By integrating cutting-edge neurological insights with fundamental movement training, we ensure that your brain and body work in harmony for optimal performance and well-being.

Pain is NOT the price we pay for getting older, nor is movement dysfunction. These issues often result from poor signal quality within the nervous system, including visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive inputs, and ignoring our bodies' "check engine" lights.

Everyone needs to perform at their best, whether in the office or on the field. The key to movement efficiency is improving the mapping in the nervous system. I'm here to help you move and feel your best by enhancing your body's communication system.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Kim has extensive experience as a strength and conditioning coach at both the collegiate and high school levels. She began her career in 2004, training athletes while teaching Health and PE and coaching varsity basketball at Notre Dame Academy High School. In the summer of 2008, Kim transitioned to collegiate athletics, interning with the Athletic Performance department at UCLA, working with the football team and other sports programs.

From 2008-2010, Kim served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at California State University Northridge (CSUN). In 2011, she shifted her focus to youth training, joining the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, where she designed programs for nationally ranked junior tennis players.

In January 2012, Kim became the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at El Camino College, where she established and developed a comprehensive program for 17 out of 21 intercollegiate sports teams, including Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Water Polo, Soccer, Golf, Track and Field, and Swimming and Diving. Prior to her arrival a Strength and Conditioning program did not exist on campus.

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE HEALTH COACH

Having a healthy-looking body on the outside starts with health on a cellular level on the inside. Weight gain is a symptom, but what is the root cause? I enjoy educating my clients about the root cause of dis-ease in the body, while we work together to improve health outcomes.
